Naked Songs came out in 1991. Only a Mother had been a group for at least a couple of years prior. The first OAM release (Riding White Alligators) was 1988 with Mary Richards, Bobbi Benson, Doug Gourlay, Ken Stanley and Marko Novachcoff. After our second release (Romantic Warped) we were picked up by T.E.C. Tones (a division of Ralph Records). I haven't listened to this cd in years and I'm a little embarrassed to say I love it. Sure, it would flow better if it was 15 tunes instead of 23 but I can live with that. Our friend Eugene Chadbourne plays guitar on A Little Blackout and dobro on Contortionist Song. Our good friends Ken Stanley and Tim Holmes also dropped by. Ken is on Fingers, Bucket and W#16; Tim is on She Walks and Jump Start. Nelson Smith, a friend of mine from the art world contributed the wonderful cover art.
